Welcome to 2026! Hope everyone had a lovely festive season with family and friends.
We trust you have been giving some thought to entering the Artfully Yours
exhibition. Now that the main holiday break is over, I’m thinking it’s time to get active with the painting again.
Please do read all of this newsletter as there is important information about the exhibition as well as introducing a new exhibition !!

A reminder:
As per the Rules for this exhibition, please ensure that you belong to an Art Club or group. We did list the groups etc in the November newsletter.

As previously advised, Harcourts Hawke’s Bay is now our new key sponsor. We have this agreement in place for the next 3 years and the committee is delighted to have their support.

Artfully Yours Exhibition -Opening Night – something new on offer !
This year the Opening night of the exhibition will feature a live and silent auction.
Live auction:
We have three wonderful artists who have so far offered us a piece of their artwork to auction on the night as part of the live auction. These include:
Josh Lancaster, Loek Hasselman and Kate McKenzie.
Silent auction:
We will be holding a silent auction throughout the exhibition.
To date we have another three artists who have offered a piece of work.
These include: Helen Dynes, Winnie Doevendans and Lucie Anderson
If you would like to offer a piece of your work for the silent auction please contact either Sheryl or myself as soon as possible.

Our new exciting Portraiture Exhibition opportunity:
We are thrilled to advise that we will be running a new exhibition in 2026 from 11-25 July.
This will be a Portraiture Exhibition.
Check out the website for the registration form for this exhibition. The first registration has already been received ! (www.arthawkesbay.co.nz)
You do not have to belong to an Art Club or group to enter this exhibition.
Note: For this inaugural exhibition, there will be no animal portraits.
We do hope we will get a lot of interest for this inaugural exhibition. We’ve made some great progress on the organising so please do support this and register your portrait/s.
Secretary for the Art Hawkes Bay committee:
We are in need of a new Secretary for the team. If you would like to assist with minute taking and understand the minute process and recording of, we would love to hear from you. Social Media Workshop
Sadly the person we had lined up to assist with this workshop will soon be leaving NZ to live overseas. So, we are on the lookout for a replacement.
If you can assist by showing and talking with others about what is required to set up and use both facebook and instagram, we’d love to hear from you.

Billboards and advertising
We are currently working on new billboards for our Exhibition along with posters and fliers.
Keep an eye out for these – tell your colleagues, friends, family about our two upcoming exhibitions.
