Hello Artists
Everyone has been very busy recently with so many different events and the Art Trail has been a big priority for many.
It was great to see clubs involved – Napier Arts Club had a wonderful open time during the Arts Trail with some beautiful works and sculptures on show and some sales as well.
Hastings and Keirunga also held what appeared to be successful events showcasing their artist’s work.
With all that has been happening we hope that many of you will have started to think about entering work into the Artfully Yours exhibition.
The dates for this are 20 April – 2 May 2026.
We will be loading up a new registration form for next year and we encourage everyone to familiarise yourselves with the Rules for entering the exhibition.
Club/Group get-together
A huge thank you to those representatives from art clubs or groups who attended an informal get-together on 10 November. We had artists from Hastings Art Group; Napier Arts Club; Humanities Art Group; Inkers group; Ahuriri Hill Painters.
This was an opportunity to meet each other and to share ideas for other events that Arts Hawkes Bay might be able to facilitate or co-ordinate for artists as well as having an open discussion about ideas for the future of Artfully Yours exhibition. Some great ideas were put forward and we will consider all of these as a committee and keep artists on our database informed.
We will be making an effort to visit Otane Club and those clubs further south to offer the same opportunity to interact and share ideas.
New Sponsorship Announcement
We are delighted to advise that Harcourts Real Estate Hawke’s Bay is now our new key sponsor! We are so appreciative of their support and willingness to be involved with the Artfully Yours exhibition!
We know that this sponsorship will be extremely beneficial for us and as part of our agreement we will be offering a Silent auction and a Live auction at the 2026 exhibition. Brayden Coldicutt, from Harcourts has offered to run the live auction. It will be exciting and worthwhile !

An exciting new exhibition opportunity:
We are thrilled to advise that we will be running a new exhibition in 2026 from 11-25 July.
This will be a Portraiture Exhibition.

Secretary for the Art Hawkes Bay committee:
We are in need of a new Secretary for the team. If you would like to assist with minute taking and understand the minute process and recording of, we would love to hear from you.
