Hello Artists,
Portraiture Exhibition
We are not far away now from holding the inaugural Portrait Exhibition!
This will be showcasing from 13 th – 25 th July
Artwork will be received at the gallery on 11 th July and hanging will take place on the 12 th .
Opening Night will be Monday 13 th from 5.30pm – we hope you can join us.
We are really pleased with the number of registrations that have already been submitted
so our thanks to all artists who have chosen to participate.

We have invited students from the high schools to participate also if they wish.
Annual General Meeting
There will be more information to come about the AGM but please note this will be held
Sunday 2 August 2026 at 2pm at the Napier Arts Club.
We will welcome new members to the committee team and say a special thank you to
those leaving us.
We do encourage artists to show their support for the AGM. Our workforce is all
volunteers for the exhibitions and attendance at the AGM is one way of showing your
support for the work these people undertake which in turn supports all participating
exhibition artists. Please make a note in your calendar now. Thank you.
Other Events
We are currently considering other art events that we might be able to offer to artists in our
region. Of course to do this we need interest from our community artists.
For example, do let us know if you might be keen to participate in an “Art in the Park”
event? This might be something we can host in the summer months at either Napier or
Hastings parks. Some groundwork to do but just drop us a line if you are interested

We welcome other ideas from you if there is something you feel we could be offering to
artists.
Art Clubs/Groups
We are endeavouring to update our website information about the various groups and
clubs within our region. Thank you to Hastings for submitting information recently and we
know Napier Club are in the process of updating information for us.
If you would like to profile your group on our website, please write a couple of brief
paragraphs about what you offer, who to contact and a photo or two.
In the meantime, enjoy the lovely winter sunny days we are currently experiencing!
